In 1796 Henry, John, Solomon and Thomas Jones were in Sullivan County, Tennessee.

In 1782 Henry Jones was an Ensign in Captain Womack's Militia.

Solomon Jones was born about 1750 in Bedford County, Virginia.

In 1796 and 1812 a Solomon Jones was in Sullivan County, Tennessee.

East Tennessee is part of Appalachia. At the end of the French and Indian War, colonists began drifting into the area. In 1769, they first settled along the Watauga River. During the Revolution, the Overmountain Men defeated British loyalists at the Battle of Kings Mountain. The State of Franklin was formed in the 1780s, but never admitted to the Union.

Thomas Jones was born about 1762, in Loudon County, Virginia.

Thomas served three months in Captain Turner's Virginia Company, shortly after this tour, he moved to Henry County, Virginia and served three month's in Captain Choice's Virginia Company.

Thomas married Susannah Ramsey on December 24, 1786, in Bedford County, Virginia.

Thomas appeared on the 1831 pension roll in Sullivan County, Tennessee. He was 72 years old and had been in the North Carolina militia.

Thomas died on July 25, 1842 in Sullivan County.

Pittsylvania County, Virginia was formed in 1767 from Halifax County. In 1777 the western part became Henry County.

Henry Jones was born bout 1770 in England.

He married Margaret Cross or Devault.
